MONDAY

Handicraft: 10.30 am - 2.30 pm

 

Learn basketry and to string chairs, also projects such as toy making and other crafts.

 

TUESDAY

Coffee Morning: 10.30 am - 12.30 pm

 

A place for people to meet, have a cup of tea/coffee and a chat with friends.

 

WEDNESDAY

Art: 10.30 am - 12.30 pm

Craft: 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Suitable for people with no previous experience as well as talented artists.

Small friendly classes.

The tutor is responsive to individuals deteriorating eye-conditions and artistic needs.

Experiment with a wide range of art materials and techniques, including:

  • Acrylic paints
  • Water-mixable oil paints
  • Soft, oil and water-mixable oil pastels
  • Tactile paintings and collages
  • Popular, modern crafts so far have included
  • Porcelain painting
  • Mosaics
  • Simple soap-stone carving
  • Silk/fabric painting
  • Air-dry clay modelling
  • Card designs and simple printing

 

Falls Prevention Exercise Class: 2.00 pm - 3.00 pm

Tutor: Christine Flood

 

This is a 'Falls Prevention' exercise class, a healthy living initiative for older people supported by London Borough of Merton Social Services . This course runs throughout the year

 

FRIDAY

Music Appreciation: 10.30 am - 12.00 pm

This group enjoy classical music. Different themes, composers and a variety of music is explored.

Games Afternoon: 2 pm – 4 pm

The games afternoon is up and running and we are looking for more members. If you would like to try your hand at bowls or darts, please come along. Transport is available at £4.20 for the return journey. If you are interested in attending just give us a ring on 8540 5446.
